Musician Desire Luzinda has Juma Seiko to thank after he stood surety for her. The singer has now been released from jail after she was detained by Police upon arriving from a concert in Congo.
According to Police, Desire obtained money by false pretence and failed to pay it back despite several reminders. Sources revealed that she got money from a lecturer at a University in Kampala for her show and never paid it back. The money totaled to 24 million shillings.
Police netted her at the airport over the weekend as she returned from a gig in Congo. She was saved by her friend Juma Seiko who helped her get bond. Police said that Juma is a respected man and they are confident that he will come in with Desire when the dates given are due.
We will keep you posted.
