Renowned Ugandan radio station 90.4 Dembe FM is set to return to the airwaves after more than a year of being off its normal programming.

According to an official announcement on its social media platforms on Wednesday, Dembe FM will resume its normal broadcasts on Thursday, February 13, 2025.

The Namuwongo-based radio station temporarily shut down in December 2023 to undergo a major rebranding process aimed at aligning with the evolving trends of urban radio.
This restructuring led to the abrupt layoff of several renowned Ugandan radio presenters, some of whom were among the country’s most celebrated media personalities.
The return of Dembe FM is expected to excite many loyal listeners who have been eagerly waiting for the station’s comeback.
However, details regarding its new programming lineup and whether former presenters will return remain unclear.
More updates will be provided as the station officially resumes operations.
