At last weekend’s 40-40 and 5-Aside Charity campaign David Obua surprised many when he refused to pay a paltry 3,000shs for Charity.
At the event, everyone was required to make a contribution at the entrance with atleast 3,000shs. When the former Cranes player drive towards the gate, the ushers asked for 3,000shs as entrance fee, at which point the ex-hearts player zoomed past them saying that “I am David Obua.”
The girls followed him to the parking area where he insisted he was not going to pay. He went ahead to throw insults at them before he joined everyone at the event.
Tweeps got to know about this and under the hashtag #SomeoneTellObua asked him to pay while making fun of him. Many equated this to the moment when he put off the Uganda Cranes jersey threw it down and walked off the pitch during a national football match a few years ago.
