Talismanic Dan Sserunkuma was overjoyed after scoring the winner in his side’s 1-0 win over Sofapaka on Wednesday that moved Gor Mahia to the brink of winning its first league title in 18 years.
” I cannot explain how I felt after scoring that goal. It was a lot of emotion and that is why I ran towards the fans as well as showing fans that I love wearing the Gor shirt.”
Speaking after the match, Sserunkuma said he was happy to be back at the club he had been in great form for his club but is uncertain of his future as he still dreams of making it to the paid ranks in Europe.
“I am happy that after so much talk after I went to Armenia things are looking good and I am doing the job I was employed to do at K’Ogalo. It had not been easy but the team spirit and the very supportive fan have made me to work really hard.”
He would however not talk about his future, “I can’t talk a lot about my future but what is important is that we finish the job at hand from that point we can think of any other option but for now I want to continue helping my club in all competitions,” Sserunkuma told supersport.com.
Sserunkuma had so far scored eight goals for Gor in the league and five in the GOtv Shield.
