Uganda Cranes beat Tanzania 3-1 in Kampala today to qualify for the 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa.
The Cranes, who appeared at the 2011 CHAN competition in Sudan, qualify 4-1 goal aggregate after their 1-0 away win in Dar es salaam on July 13. Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s side gave the Taifa Stars no chance in the second leg played at the Mandella National Stadium, Namboole.
The first half ended 1-1 with Frank Kalanda giving the hosts the lead in the 6th minute. Amri Kiemba equalized 10 minutes later from a well taken Mrisho Ngasa cross.
But the second half belonged to the Cranes who run rings around the visitors.
