Eddy Kenzo, a popular Ugandan singer whose real name is Edrisa Musuuza, has been appointed as the Presidential Advisor on Creatives by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
This announcement has been met with joy and celebration among his fans and family.
The news was first shared online by Kenzo’s fiancée, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, who is also the Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development.
In a tweet, she expressed her pride in Kenzo’s achievement and thanked President Museveni for the appointment.
“Congratulations on your well-deserved appointment, Eddy Kenzo. Proud of you as always. Thank you, H.E YK Museveni,” she wrote.
Eddy Kenzo, who is also the President of the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF), has been vocal about his support for the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) party over the past five years.
His political stance became more evident after he faced backlash from supporters of Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform (NUP), particularly regarding personal matters involving his former partner, Rema Namakula.
Since then, Kenzo has been a strong advocate for the current government and opposition for Bobi Wine’s led NUP.
As congratulatory messages continue to pour in from around the world, this appointment marks another significant milestone in Eddy Kenzo’s career.
We extend our congratulations to Eddy Kenzo on his new role!
