Popular Ugandan comedian Lubega Obedi Reign has revealed his political ambitions and the mission he plans to fulfill if elected as a Member of Parliament for Lubaga South constituency.
In a recent interview, Reign said that his first goal is to help his party president, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, commonly known as Bobi Wine, become the President of Uganda one day.
Reign, who is best known for his comedy and public appearances, said he will use his position in Parliament to support and promote the idea of changing the way Uganda elects its president.
He believes the President should be voted for by Members of Parliament rather than through a general election.
He emphasized that this strategy would make it easier for Bobi Wine to win the presidency and lead the country.
Reign’s decision to enter politics has attracted attention from both his fans and political observers. As he prepares to contest for the Lubaga South seat, many will be watching closely to see how his popularity in entertainment translates to political success.
