Renowned media personality and politician Jacob Akuguzibwe, popularly known as DJ Jacob Omutuuze, has officially declared his intention to contest for the Council Chairperson seat of Bunamwaya Division in Wakiso district.
He will run under the National Unity Platform (NUP) party ticket in the upcoming elections.
DJ Jacob Omutuuze, a former presenter at 90.4 Dembe FM, is a well-known figure both in the media and political circles.
His political journey gained public attention during the 2021 General Elections, when he was denied the opportunity to represent NUP.
Despite the setback, he continued in the race as an independent candidate and emerged victorious.
Now, after years of dedicated service in office, DJ Jacob believes the time is right to seek the NUP flag once again.
His decision to rejoin the party platform reflects his ongoing commitment to the values of unity and change that NUP promotes.
Speaking about his candidacy, DJ Jacob said he is optimistic and prepared to work even harder for the people of Bunamwaya Division.
