Ugandan comedian Patrick ‘Salvador’ Idringi has commended Nabafu Immigration Consultants for playing a pivotal role in his wife’s smooth travel to Canada.

Speaking at the official launch of the consultancy’s Ugandan branch in Mukono last Thursday, Salvador revealed that the firm, headed by Proscovia Turyasiima Nabafu, provided professional guidance that made his wife Daphine Frankstock’s journey stress-free and successful.

“My wife’s relocation to Canada was a process that required accuracy, patience, and the right advice,” Salvador said. “Nabafu Immigration handled everything with professionalism, ensuring she met all requirements without falling into the traps many travelers face. I’m grateful for their honesty and expertise.”

Nabafu Immigration Consultants is registered in Canada and certified by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Its head office is in Edmonton, Alberta, with the new Mukono office aimed at bringing world-class immigration support closer to Ugandans.

Founder Mrs. Nabafu clarified that the company is not a tours and travel agency but a specialized immigration consultancy offering legal and procedural advice for those seeking to travel or relocate, particularly to Canada.

“We provide accurate information on visa applications, eligibility checks, and settlement options — so clients avoid being scammed by unlicensed agents,” she explained.

In line with this mission, Nabafu Immigration will on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, host a Canada Education & Immigration Information session at Joleah Complex, Jinja Road, Mukono, from 2pm to 5pm EAT. The event, with an entry fee of UGX 50,000, will cover key topics including how to detect unauthorized consultants and how to access up to 65,000 Canadian dollars in student loans for post-secondary study in Canada. Proscovia Turyasiima Nabafu, a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC #R708408), will personally lead the session.

The consultancy assists with various visa categories, including student permits, work visas, family sponsorships, and permanent residency. It also provides advisory services for other countries, broadening opportunities for Ugandans seeking life abroad.

During the event, Mrs. Nabafu expressed concern over the rising cases of Ugandans losing millions to fraudulent travel operators. “Our mission is to protect clients from such losses by giving them the correct information and guiding them through legitimate channels,” she said.

Salvador’s endorsement comes as a powerful testimonial for the firm’s credibility, especially at a time when trust is critical in the immigration sector. Attendees at the launch praised the company’s arrival in Uganda as a step toward safer, more transparent immigration services.

Following a recent wave of travel scams that left many Ugandans devastated, Nabafu Immigration Consultants has pledged to be a beacon of trust and transparency in the immigration industry. The firm officially launched its Ugandan operations in Mukono last Thursday, with a strong promise to protect travelers from fraudulent agents.

The launch comes just weeks after Sky Pin Tours and Travel collapsed, allegedly defrauding dozens of Ugandans seeking opportunities abroad. The company’s CEO, Don Chris, is reported to have fled the country, leaving victims in financial distress and emotional turmoil.

Speaking at the event, founder Proscovia Turyasiima Nabafu said such cases are exactly why she decided to open a Ugandan branch. “Too many of our people are losing millions to fake travel agents. They promise quick visas, collect money, and vanish. At Nabafu Immigration, our work is to give you the right information, guide you through legal channels, and ensure you never fall into such traps again,” she assured.

Mrs. Nabafu urged Ugandans to verify the credentials of any person or company offering immigration services. “A legitimate consultant will be registered, accredited, and transparent. If someone tells you to pay large sums without clear documentation, that’s a red flag,” she warned.

Community members, including victims of past scams, attended the launch and welcomed the move, saying it gives hope for safer, more transparent travel processes. With a Canadian seal of approval and a mission to safeguard travelers, Nabafu Immigration Consultants is positioning itself as a trusted gatekeeper for Ugandans pursuing opportunities abroad.
