Coco Finger is one of the most enigmatic artistes we have around. He has a habit of going into oblivion for long and when your lips are exhausted with asking where he is, he springs out instantly in one way he knows best, MUSIC. And yes, that’s the only thing we want from him. An assembly of hits not his gruesome skinny jeans.
The year 2013 has been relatively silent for the pencil thinned crooner as not a recognizable record has been put out there by him. And after he part ways with Emma Carlos his manager, many projected that his career would spiral downwards. He tried to keep himself afloat with that song Private Number that fans didn’t relate to and one could have written him off this year.
But trust the dreadlocked Coco to come back stronger and he has recently released that stomper Never Never. Do I approve? Absolutely!!!!.After that run-away hit Don’t Break My Heart, it’s only natural to sympathise with him. But trust Coco Finger, he needs no empathy as he gives us one of the best dancehall tunes to be released this year.
In typical Coco Style, he seeks counsel from experienced beat maker Washington of Boogie Empire who crafts a club beat on which Coco holds his own and KILLS it.He throws some hilarious wordplay and in the song he basically urges people to love each other regardless of where we come from and just have a goodtime. And if you have seen this Luo native perform on stage, he definitely knows how to have a good time. He will jump from one speaker to another doing that electricity dance he has grown popular for and he wants us to follow suit. I am definitely following him.
This is a certified banger which will ease its way into people’s hearts. If this is a revival ploy, I can affirm that Mr. Owori alias Coco Finger is back, ladies and gentlemen.
