By Ntambi Jimsal ; The formation of Uganda Musician Association was a greater idea , In fact we thank all those who were behind this patriotic movement .
However the association that was created on the pillar of helping local artists benefit from their content is now fighting so hard to make sure no single artist do sell any content to content buyers and distributors .
Cindy , Ragga Dee , King Micheal , Justin Bas , Star Boss Big Eye , Phina Mugerwa among other members on this association could be a big disease to this music industry. They all focusing on getting Government ‘s money instead of fighting for the industry that has bring them from poverty into billionaires.
It’s said , General Saleh Musaleh has given Uganda Musician Association to help other artists but only few have benefited from these funds .
UMA shouldn’t be quiet about ban on concerts and events since artists generate their income from it , it has been a full year of poverty, Tears , Regrets and funny temptations to the artists. The sector is punished for no good reason and the selected people who were trusted by fellow artists decided to betray them .
Getting Museveni ‘s money shouldn’t be the goal of UMA, Uplifting the ban on music should be their target because through concerts and events artists can raise money and pay their bills but since the few old goons like Ragga Dee , Cindy , Bigeye etc in the industry are getting money from the government . They’ve decided to sacrifice the industry for their personal benefits .
