Singer Chameleone has reacted to Uganda Revenue Authority’s actions today. The tax authority is demanding UGX 47 million from singer Jose Chameleone in tax arrears over the last two years.
He is said to have cleared 20 million so far. However this morning, there was chaos at Lugogo Cricket oval as URA officials tried to impound his car in a bid to recover the remaining amount of the tax.
The singer who thinks that his car should not be attached had this to say to URA. “So Uganda Revenue Authority can do everything to disrupt me. But can’t take away my Ugandan Pride. We got the ability to pay a higher amount of Tax if you can agree to protect our music like you do with other Businesses. We should be partners not foes!!!!! Anyway, I invite you too to TUBONGE LIVE CONCERT. Come and enjoy the thrill after that long day work!!!!!!” Chameleone said.
The show will go on as planned tonight.
