“What a tragedy, and a travesty! Muhammad Ssegirinya was a beacon of hope for many bana Kampala. Not the most erudite person, but through his incredible people skills, he worked his way from the trenches to the zenith of the 11th Parliament.
But alas! He never enjoyed a single day of his time as a legislator. The regime held him for two years (!!) on clearly trumped-up charges, and he never recovered from that. Ssegirinya’s story is the story of Museveni’s Uganda; one of hopes raised then brutally shattered. RIP Mr. Update.”
Abed Bwanika
“Your journey was but a few years on the earth. Your impact is tremendous. You represented the ordinary person and executed the mission with diligence. Rest well, comrade Ssegirinya.”
May his soul rest in peace.
