Busoga Kingdom has sent a condolence message to the family of fallen ex Uganda Cranes goalkeeper Abel Dhaira to comfort and strengthen them through this trying moment. Abel Dhaira, who was of Busoga descent, passed on Sunday after succumbing to abdominal cancer. Read the condolence message in full below.

“OBWAKYABAZINGA BWA BUSOGA
CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
28th March 2016

RE: Condolence message to Abel Dhaira’s family

The cruel hand of death robbed us of one of our proudest sons of Busoga “Abel Dhaira” during the Easter Sunday Luncheon. Dhaira, a prolific and celebrated football sports’ goalkeeper succumbed to abdominal cancer in Iceland. We decry the loss of such young talent but should be energized in our fight against cancer, life’s worst monster and silent killer. As a kingdom, we implore you all to carryout various cancer tests as some cancer if detected early could be dealt with.

We stand with the family and the wider fraternity of the football sport in celebrating the passing on of our son Dhaira. The good Lord gives and takes and may he grant Abby Dhaira eternal rest. Kyabazinga Afunvuwe.

OWEK. NTANGE ANDREW
Busoga Kingdom Spokesperson”
