Musician Bruno K could not control his emotions after he won his first ever award at The Uganda Music Awards(TUMA) which were held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Friday evening.
The overwhelmed singer shed tears on stage as he accepted his award after being announced winner in the Best Reggae category.
This came as he recounted his music journey revealing it has not been a smooth road.
“After I lost the Airtel Trace Music Star competition to Sandra Suubi, I wanted to give up,” he revealed. “I had no money or ever a sponsor but my mum encouraged me to carry on. I started out doing covers, but later started recording my own songs.”
“This means a lot to me. Thank you for supporting me. And to my brother, thank you for investing your little money in me.” He added.
