Bobi Wine who has been out of the country for some time, away on a musical tour of sorts, is back and off again to the USA. He stepped foot in the country a few days back and by the look of it, he seems a changed man. Of course, both musically and as an individual. Musically speaking, he is out with a new hot collabo that several music critics have predicted it won’t be long before it starts making rounds on all radio and Tv stations.

Whatever Jamaican stuff he was fed on, is working and working really good! The self-proclaimed ghetto president is also back, apparently as a better man with a more forgiving heart.

He seems ready to bury the hatchet with whoever his actions might have rubbed the wrong way. One of his hit songs titled “Tugambire Ku Jennifer” that was released a year or so back, though it was a favorite for the local populace, it seemed to rub government the wrong way because apparently it seemed to criticize the actions of KCCA. Bobi has decided to settle whatever differences he had with the KCCA boss ―Jennifer Musisi. To prove he nolonger holds any grudges, he has agreed to become the official celebrity endorser of the annual Kampala City festival.

“Sometimes we disagree but this time we agreed that its OUR CITY, OUR CELEBRATION. Ladies and gentlemen, am glad to inform you that I will be the official celebrity endorser of the KAMPALA CITY FESTIVAL 2013, My desire is to see a link between the leaders and the common people living or working in Kampala. So, lets get ready to party on Kampala road come 6th October. Our city, our celebration” said Bobi Wine in one of his updates on his facebook timeline.

National Theatre was on Friday evening peppered with laughter as the queens of comedy took over the stage for the second edition of the Arise Woman Comedy Jam.

Hosted by Akite Agnes, this edition featured the crème de la crème of comediennes like Anne Kansiime, Titin Gladys, Maggie da Bwaiserian, Richmouth and the Fun Factory ladies, who cracked jokes about different real-life experiences; sending the audience into thunderous applause and laughter.

Held in the spirit of the women’s week, the comedy jam exceeded expectations as it celebrated and glorified women in the comedy industry, perfectly aligning to the theme of the show, “Arise Woman.”

The crowd favourite was Titin Gladys’ set where she progressively told stories of her daily-life woes that culminated with an exciting twist on her relationship troubles that sent the audience laughing nonstop.

The HiPipo Music Awards 2020 edition has been postponed. The development was announced by Innocent Kawooya, the CEO of HiPipo on Friday.

According to Kawooya, the awards were postponed because one of their key suppliers could not deliver on their obligations.

“The award ceremony has been postponed owing to unexpected happenings that have made a key supplier unable to complete and later on ship major project necessities on time,” said Innocent Kawooya in a statement to award stakeholders.

The award ceremony which was slated for March 14, 2020, at the Kampala Serena Hotel has since been pushed to an indefinite time.

“Nonetheless, voting in all the categories continues. A new date will be communicated at the soonest.” He added.

Producer Rinex has withdrawn from Zzina awards after being nominated in the best audio producer category.

The power records producer cites that he is giving platform for younger producers to shine and therefore will not be apart of the awards. He posted “In 2017, we created an association of audio producers in Uganda called APAU and by God’s grace I was elected as the President. Our main mission is to promote love, unity and improve on the creativity of audio producers by sharing ideas.

We achieved this, all I pray is, the love and unity keep growing stronger for the betterment of our industry.

I was nominated in #ZzinnaAwards alongside my fellow brothers.

An award is a token of appreciation for hardwork, @galaxyfm1002 thank you so much for recognizing my hardwork 2019/2020.

With due respect, I would love to dedicate my nomination to my fellow brothers listed below who still need more platform and they have really worked so hard to transform this music industry.

I dedicated my self to nurturing producers since then and by God’s grace they’re making it to the top;

I’m still producing more producers.

Please vote for your favourite producer.

On behalf of APAU, I WOULD LOVE TO CONGRATULATE MY BROTHERS FOR THEIR HARDWORK 2019/2020.

TO OTHER PRODUCERS; THIS IS JUST A AWAKE UP CALL FOR ALL OF US TO PULL UP OUR SOCKS”
