Your number one source of Entertainment news, www.bigeye.ug has been nominated for Brand of The Year in Social Media Awards Africa.

BigEye.ug is competing against the top brands in Africa such as Vodafone, Mpese and GT Bank of Ghana.

Speaking out after receiving the news; Ian Ortega, the Editorial and Strategy Director said; “Being nominated for Brand of The Year is not something to take as basic. It’s more of a call that people out there are watching what you do and expect you to live up to that brand, the brand of quality and excellence service. We shall do our best to bring that award home.”

Ian Ortega whose Social Media Company also manages The Independent Magazine Social Media Pages was also overjoyed to learn that The Independent Magazine has been nominated under; “Best Rated Platform.”

He said; “Running a social media company I realized is more about giving out value to your audience more than putting money on expensive campaigns. You don’t have to buy fans and LIKES, it’s best you grow an organic and loyal following that follows you because of the value you give it. The Independent Magazine has proven that to all other Social Media Pages in Uganda.”
