Singer Beenie Gunter finds himself in a desperate situation, still seeking assistance to come back to Uganda from Abu Dhabi, where he remains held. Despite being released from prison, he’s barred from returning until his case is resolved.
Last month, Beenie Gunter was arrested at Dubai airport following a performance for Ugandan fans residing there. The event turned chaotic, resulting in fights and substantial property damage at the venue.
Consequently, the venue owner handed him over to the police, leading to his detention in Abu Dhabi for several days until a sum of money was raised, with the support of fellow artists, for his release.
Although Ugandans hoped for his safe return upon his release, Gunter was informed that he couldn’t come back yet.
Taking to his social media platforms, he expressed gratitude to his wife for standing by him during this trying period and appealed to fans to pray for his safe return to Uganda, where he can reunite with his family.
