In Irene Ntale, Jackie Kateme and Edith Khey, Gagamel is blessed to have some of the finest female vocalists in the land performing under one umbrella and that comes with a price!
The battle for supremacy in the band sparked off with Rema’s unexpected exit, our moles have revealed.
While it was rumoured that Irene Ntale would fill the gap left, factions at Gagamel laughed off the claims claiming it was a mere fabrication of the press stimulated by Bebe’s duet ”love letter” whose release coincided with Rema’s fall out. The faction fancied long time Gagamel member Edith Khey to scoop the vacant seat of lead vocalist.
However, it is said Bebe Cool instead preferred new kid on the block, Jackie Kateme and is soon cashing her a contract. The 21 year old ”endeku” hit maker has also been accorded more stage time at their weekly gig at Amnesisa our snoops confirmed. This has not gone well with Edith.
According to local tabloids, she claims Jackie ”stole” endeku and snared her promoter from her. Watch this space.
