Batálo East is set to stage “Kakalabanda,” a vibrant cultural production performed by the Wakiso Dance Kids, in a celebration of Uganda’s culture, stories and future.
The production will make its first appearance at the National Theatre (UNCC) on September 9, before moving to Kavumba Recreation Center in Wakiso on September 12.
Both shows will run from 7:30 PM to 8:40 PM, with tickets priced at UGX 30,000.
Produced by Batálo East, Kakalabanda brings together traditional culture, dance and storytelling, while giving young performers an opportunity to showcase their talent and connect audiences with Uganda’s rich heritage.
The production is expected to offer a unique experience for families, culture enthusiasts and theatre lovers looking to enjoy a fresh interpretation of Ugandan stories through the eyes of the next generation.
