Fast rising music group, B2C’s management, Andy Events is crying foul play after the “Tokigeza” singers walked away empty handed at the HiPipo music awards that were held at Kampala Serena Hotel on Saturday.

The group’s management claims the award organisers ask for bribes from artistes to be crowned winners.

“This goes to all award organisers in Uganda, please try to be true. Stop asking money from artists to be nominated or awarded in your things. You’re lying the whole nation and in the end all those winners who bribed to be awarded wont last for long,” they expressed their discontent online.

After B2C, who were nominated for the Best Music Group award lost to Northern Uganda’s Pine Avenue5, their management has further denounced the awards and revealed they will no longer be a part of them in future.

“Ugandans wake up to all those fake award organisers and going forward Andy Events is not welcome to whoever nominates its product to any of those fake things,” they added.

“I believe there lots of artists and artist managers who have been a victim of such. Stop giving out money to all those fools to be nominated and even to win any award which you have been nominated. Let the nation decide but don’t use it as a business project because it wont last for long,” they concluded.
