Artistes should respect their fans – Furious fan speaks out

Chameleone entertains his fans at his concert Tubonge concert held at Lugogo Cricket Oval in 2014.
Fans endure a downpour to cheer on their musician on stage.

By  KS Brian

One reason I stopped going to music concerts is the way those top notch celebrities repetitively disrespect their fans.

I will skip the part where they ask us to clap and sing, yet that is not why we paid them. I will also ignore the part they say a show will begin at 7:00pm and then they arrive at 10:30pm and sing their whole album in just 15 minutes.

I just HATE this part where they stop appreciating the fans that paid their money, braved the cold weather, the tedious lines and noisy crowds, the rules they broke back at home to be there, the insecurity that might befall them as they walk home that night… Instead of giving them the very best, someone spends over 3 hours talking about HATERS, which haters are at home enjoying sex and warm beds.

Appreciate your fans. They are the reason you have the fame, not haters. Haters don’t make you famous. Your fans do. Start giving the game credit. The Haters-speech is just idle talk.
