Uganda’s queen of comedy Anne Kansiime continues to write her success story. The pint-sized comedienne who has had several sold out shows around the globe had a similar experience in Rwanda over the weekend.
Anne Kansiime, whose show attracted hordes of fans, reportedly caused a stir at Kigali Serena hotel when she stepped on stage as the evidently dazzled fans scrambled closer to the stage to grab a photo of the star on their phones.
She lived up to her billing as she cracked up the audience with jokes about her tribe, the Bakiga and later spiced up her act when she dressed up as kid in a school uniform to the excitement of revelers whom she left yearning for more.
“When Jesus says yes, no nobody can say no. Thank you kigali,” an excited Anne Kansiime said later after the show.
The show was also graced by Rwandan comedian Arthur Nkusi and Burundian comedian Kigingi.
