Podolski double and Giroud strike helped Arsenal to go back above Everton and into the top four of the Premier League table after coming from behind to beat West Ham 3-1 at the Emirates on Tuesday night.
Matt Jarvis put the Hammers in front of five minutes before half-time with a brave header from close range, but Podolski brought the Gunners level a minute before the break with a powerful low strike.
Olivier Giroud’s classy finish put Arsenal into the lead on 55 minutes before Podolski’s driven second sealed the win as Arsenal moved up to fourth.
The result sees Arsene Wenger’s men climb above Everton in the table by a point but Roberto Martinez’s side can go back above the Gunners if they win their game in hand against Crystal Palace at Goodison Park on Wednesday
