Alien Skin has claimed that he is more influential than the National Unity Platform (NUP), the opposition political party led by Bobi Wine. The statement comes after his release from Luzira Prison, where he spent a week following his arrest.
Alien Skin, whose arrest dominated headlines, noted that his detention drew mixed reactions. While his fans and family tirelessly campaigned for his release, he observed that some individuals, allegedly NUP supporters, celebrated his predicament.
“They wanted me to spend more time in prison so I could learn lessons on respecting people,” Alien Skin remarked.

The singer claims his release on bail allowed him to investigate the matter further, leading him to conclude that the joy over his arrest stemmed largely from NUP members and supporters.
“If NUP can stoop low enough to celebrate my lows, then I am bigger than the party,” he boldly stated, adding that their reaction proved how much of a “threat” he is to their influence.
