A year after musician Emmanuel Mayanja aka AK47 was killed in Kansanga, details have emerged that he could have been left lifeless by people who wanted to revenge for Karamagi’s death.
The news comes after Robert Karamagi, 27, allegedly set himself ablaze at Jose Chameleone’s home in Seguku, Wakiso District back on December 26, 2012. Karamagi died a few hours after being admitted to Mulago hospital-Kampala, where medics who handled his body didn’t release a postmortem report.
Apparently, Karamagi had invaded Chameleone’s home on the fateful night. At this point, his wife, Daniela who was home raised an alarm alerting the Leone Island boys who were in the vicinity, what followed ended in Karamagi’s death. No one was ever charged. Lugambo coming in indicates that one of the people at DeJavu bar where AK47 met his end, hit him several times on the head until the life left his body.
We have been told that he was sent by those who were aggrieved by the brutal murder of Karamagi back in 2012 at Chameleone’s home. Sources close to the singer’s widow, Maggie Kiweesi also revealed that they were told that the plot to get rid of AK47 started as soon as Karamagi passed on allegedly at the hands of the deceased’s brothers. The Karamagi camp believed that by eliminating AK47 who was very loved by his elder brother Chameleone, they would get back to the Badilisha singer and the Mayanja family. One can say that they succeeded in doing this.
We will keep you posted with new details as they come in.
