Airtel-FUFA Award ceremony draws closer, fans set to also win.

Uganda Cranes fans

With just 10 days to the Airtel-FUFA Awards, the Federation of Uganda Football Association has promised to reward fans who will vote the most.

According to the local football governing body, 300 guests have been invited to attend the awards which ride under the theme “Celebrating Uganda’s Finest Footballers”.

“The 5 fans who send the most number of SMS messages to vote in any of the 4 categories will be rewarded with attending the Special Night and also free access to the Uganda Cranes matches for a year while the one with the most messages sent will also win a fully paid-up trip to travel with the Uganda Cranes on an away trip,” reads a statement on the federation’s website.

The Grand ceremony is slated for December 11th at Speke Resort Munyonyo, the day before the Barcelona Legends face off with Uganda’s All Star side at Namboole.

Awards categories:

FUFA Male Player of the Year, FUFA Female Player of the Year, Fans’ Favourite player of the year and Fans’ Favourite player in European Leagues.

Male contenders:

Keziron Kizito, Farouk Miya and Yasser Mugerwa

Female contenders:

Sandra Nabweteme, Hasifah Nassuna and Winnie Babirye

How to Vote:

To vote Airtel-FUFA Male Player of the Year type; “FUFA 20” for Keziron Kizito,  “FUFA 10” for Farouk Miya or “FUFA 30” for Yasser Mugerwa and then send SMS to 6669.

To vote FUFA Female player of the year type; “FUFA 50” for Nabweteme Sandra, “FUFA 60” for Nasuuna Hasifah or “FUFA 70” for Babirye Winnie and then send SMS to 6669.
