Before popular and successful hits like Isabella, before Sura Yako, before Nishike, before Nerea, Sauti Sol were largely unknown folks gigging around Nairobi as an Acapella group.
Here, this photo tells a story of a band that started out of scratch. They looked broke and indigent; typical of folks starting out. Who knew? But now, this four-piece band fills stadiums, plays big festivals in New York alongside Beyonce, Paris and the kind. And they are on the blink of pulling the rich vocals of John Legend for Isabella’s remix. Indeed, they started from the bottom.
