Back in March this year, Ugandan female rapper, Keko revealed that she had retired from music and would not be returning at all. Last night, the Akello singer shocked fans when she turned up to support her brother Navio as he did his Njogereza concert.
It seems Keko did it all for the love of hip-hop to show that it was still alive and she would do anything to give it a push. After her performance, Keko said; “I wanna thank all of you for coming out to support Navio tonight. They say hip-hop is dead but look at all of you now. Thanks for the love.”
Although Keko’s reasons for early retirement were unknown, the “Let Me Go” hit maker has over the years expressed discontent with her record label as well as battled several personal problems. It is believed this could have contributed to her reasons for quitting music.
