We’re saying no to all the taboos. No to beating about the bush and not talking about ‘it’. That’s right; we’re talking about all things to do with your lady garden, and the reasons to feel confident about every part of your body whether you’re in a relationship or not.
1. First things first…front fluff, the flowers in your garden, your ‘style’. Much like the hair on our heads, fashion and trends (discreetly) change over time. Whilst we hope that you never turn up to your salon with a photo of your favourite celeb’s ‘style’, going for what makes you feel confident is essential.
2. Feeling confident is a very personal thing – especially ‘down there’ and when it comes to S-E-X. For most of us this is not something you perhaps discuss with your friends. Gwyneth Paltrow, however, is proud of her ’70s style’ and who are we to judge?
3. Sex is spontaneous and that’s great but the products you use ‘down there’ shouldn’t be. pH levels are different in various parts of the body and so the products used should reflect this to avoid irritation and maintain skin harmony. SASS know what they’re doing so we’ve stocked up on their cleansers, serums, mists, wipes – a girl can never be too prepared.
4. Treat yourself, girls. If you’re planning a romantic night in, the feel good factor should be about both of you. Feeling confident in new sexy underwear can help you unlock your inner Rosie Huntington Whitely!
5. Here’s something for before, during and after: Kegal exercises can help your vagina to internally feel good. Performing them daily (don’t worry this is discreet!) can also help to prevent any other problems stemmed from the pelvic floor.
6. Did you know that Vitamin E and Vitamin C are essential for vaginal health? Vitamin E Oil helps to hydrate the vaginal lining whilst Vitamin C helps to protect the vaginal lining. Be sure to top up your vitamin levels after… you know…
7. Whether you’re sex life is wild or if ‘wild’ couldn’t be further from the truth, prevent your chances of cystitis by keeping your lady parts clean. Otherwise it’ll be confession time with your GP before you know it.
8. Pre or post sex, hydration is important- good for skin health, body health and sexual health. Be sure to keep your body hydrated in order to allow your body to feel its absolute best. Simple as.
9. The rumours are true – douching can be damaging. Don’t do it, girls. Your “minnie”, your “lulu”, your “fanny” (whatever you want to call it!) already has a natural way of managing bacteria internally – don’t muck it up!
10. One last thing, optimum vaginal pH is around 3.8 – 4.5 and most wines’ pH fall between 3.3-4. No, we can’t tell you that drinking wine is advantageous to your vaginal health, but if you’re going to raise a glass – raise one to celebrate your womanhood!
