Carol Atuhirwe, a cancer patient at Mulago is still receiving support from her friends in all corners of the world despite the fact that she will no-longer be travelling to US for further treatment.
Yesterday, Carol received a neck collar support from her friends and well-wishers in USA before she went ahead to thank them in a post shared on her Facebook wall.
“I bless the Lord for friends that have continuously supported me through this battle. Today I received a neck collar support from USA. This has been my prayer for a while now since my neck would hurt a lot most especially during travel; I also had to keep holding it for support! Thank you good people for showing me this unconditional love! Many blessings.”
It should be recalled that last week Carol failed to travel to US as it was earlier planned after a team of Uganda Cancer Institute met with visiting surgeons from USA and concluded that her condition requires close care that should be handled by the Uganda Cancer Institute.
