When he released Sitya Loss that became viral, many including Bebe Cool thought that Eddy Kenzo was just lucky and he would fall soon after. But the singer seemed determined to take on the international stage and before long, he won a BET Award.
The award was welcomed with open arms by his fans but Bebe Cool and the rest of his haters didn’t see any star quality in Kenzo, they said that the singer was just lucky and that this was the end of his fame and that he would not go past this achievement.
Many months down the road, the singer is still shinning. His music is not only dominating the local channels but it is also playing on Francophone channels like TV5 Monde’s star Parade. He was also recently given an MTV gig to do an intro for the station that is played every often in between music videos. In this clip, Kenzo tells viewers that they are watching MTV Base.
The singer has also been on the rise on the Trace TV African countdown thanks to his Soraye hit. His Mbilo Mbilo collabo with Niola is also making rounds on Sound Cloud TV.
One wonders if Bebe Cool still thinks that Kenzo is an upcoming artiste.
