The city is asleep! The country is snoring and dreaming of first world status a day after enjoying shs 900m at a city carnival.
My lecturers did not show up. Most shops are closed, lonely people are making suggestive posts on Facebook and the only active thing is the sound of rain dancing on the sheets and bodaboda speeding away. The rest are cuddling their loved ones, the single their pillows and the long distance lovers texting the “early night” away! Time Check: 3pm
Welcome to Uganda. Rain is an excuse to sleep be it in the morning. Electricity is off whenever it threatens to rain to compliment the illusion of a cold dark night. We love it this way and shall curse the rain after waking up!
