Call it fate or luck but our celebrated singers Cindy and Peter Miles narrowly escaped the Westgate mall terrorist siege on Saturday in Nairobi. The magnitude of the siege can only be reflected in the 69 people lying lifeless and the very many people injured.
The mere mention of Cindy and Peter Miles being embroiled in this circus is scary. The two dancehall artistes had been in Nairobi to perform at the German based beer festival October fest which was launched on Saturday.
Cindy in particular had been calling out to fans for many days to show up for the event. A visibly excited Cindy tweeted that,” I’m in Nairobi baby. Beautiful city. I’m set to rock the Oktoberfest tonight at the Impala Grounds live tonight. Final call to all music fans in Kenya.Dont miss this one”

She later wrote that,”I wanna dedicate my show tonight my show tonight to all the survivors and families that have been affected by the gunmen who have invaded Westgate mall, God is with us”
