Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) yesterday completed a $20,000 transfer deal with Khartoum-N for right winger Michael Birungi.

The Kasasiro Boys confirmed the development on their official Facebook page posting, “We have closed a $20000 deal with Khartoum-N as transfer fees for our very own Michael Birungi Komunda.”

Birungi signed a 2-year deal with the club and it should be remembered that earlier on in October, KCCA’s Club CEO, David Tamale revealed that Birungi will get his sign-on fee on a yearly basis ($10,000 per year) in his two-year contract and that the club wishes to see more stars going for professional stints.

“Micheal has put pen to paper on a 2 year deal with the Sudan based club and KCCA FC retains 15% shares should Khartoum-N wish to do any forward transfer. As KCCA FC we are grateful for the seasons Michael has played with us and wish him a very successful career in Sudan and beyond,” further reads the statement on the club’s Facebook page.
