Qwela Junction, a quarterly series of collaborative concerts, is back. And this time round, it has the divas. The diva team teems of renowned singing chanteuses that have come together to put up a good show.
The lineup is impressive. It includes: Naava Grey, the former Tusker Project Fame 2 contestant, who has had an illustrious career ever since she left the academy. Jemimah renowned for her patriotic ‘I am Ugandan’ song is also part of the divas that will grace Qwela Junction. Rita Sabiiti, who has been in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the past 8 years, will also perform. Over there, she was deemed the ‘virtuous guitarist’. The Airtel Trace Music Star winner, Sandra Suubi is also part of the star-studded cast. Maureen Rutabingwa, commonly known as MoRoots, is another artiste who will perform on the night. Fast-rising singer Solome Busuuta, who is actually works with Bank of Uganda, will also perform. She is popular for her Nzani hit. Rachael Magoola, a legendary in her own right, is also part of the diva team that will perform at this edition of Qwela Junction. Rachael hardly needs an introduction; she is known for her ageless Obangaina song.
Qwela Junction will take place on Sunday 29th November 2015 at Serena Hotel.
