BET award winner Eddy Kenzo claims to be of Rwandan descent. The “Sitya Loss” hit maker made the claim on his recent trip to Rwanda. Kenzo, who performed at the annual Rwandan music festival dubbed Kigali Up festival last week, told Rwandan press that he has roots in Rwanda.
According to Kenzo, his mother was a Rwandan. The singer was born to a one Musuuza, a Ugandan who was working in Rwanda at the time and had married one of the local beauties. He was raised in Rwanda during his early years before his father decided to relocate back to Uganda.
Kenzo added that details about his Rwandan descendants are hazy since his mother died while he was still young and had not disclosed that much about her roots in Rwanda.
