Singer Stecia Mayanja’s husband Abbas Mubiru has recently been involved in several scandals rotating around fraud.
About 2 months after his wedding, the local business man who deals in land brokerage among other things was arrested for allegedly obtaining money from a one Dhanze under false pretense. Dhanze was made to pay close to 40M for a piece of land that seems not to exist. Abbas was consequently dragged to police and is now fighting a legal battle.
Meanwhile, Abbas’ woes are far from over as more people are threatening to file cases against him for having conned them of their monies in the same manner.
It should be remembered that before Abbas was arrested on the account of fraud, he had earlier on been arrested for failing to pay a mobile money agent whom he asked to send 200k to his wife and then failed to pay back.
