Over the years, there has been rivalry around the globe but the extent which Uganda is entertaining beef is absolutely amazing. It’s become business. I don’t know whether it’s running short of ideas or being too brilliant to come up with rather extra ordinary ones. This has been intense especially in the music industry as mentioned by one of the artists. “There is more politics in the music industry than in the parliament.” Strong statements are thrown at each other, lyrics with intent to diss become a fascination for the audience and fuel the rivalry. Gradually, the fans are forced to pick sides and with each insult the artists keep in the lime light and money keeps rolling.
Jenniffer Musisi Vs Erias Lukwago: To start with, let the authorities begin top the list. “The appointed” visa-vi “the elected”. Both of these claim to be in the topmost position for making decisions for the Kampala City Council Authority (KCCA). Jennifer Musisi was appointed as the Executive Director by the president of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and on the other hand Mr. Erias Lukwago made campaigns in the 2011 by-elections and emerged the conqueror of the race after kicking Peter Ssematimba . So who should be responsible for uplifting the face of the capital city? We don’t care who/which does what. We want a clean Kampala so guys bury the hatchet and serve people already. That was the primary purpose for the selection.
