Ever since she was crowned Face of Africa, the dark, towering Aamito Lagum has been on a highway to success. Her status elevated and soared to higher heights with numerous modelling gigs knocking on her door. She waved goodbye to Kampala’s dust and potholes and sought sojourn in New York where she had camped, shoveling snow, staring at skyscrapers and, of course, modeling. With her, the Ugandan flag has been hoisted to the skies.

Aamito

Recently, Aamito was listed among the 12 new models that dominated the prestigious New York Fashion Week. She left a mark. Aamito is attached to DNA. She has graced New York shows like: The Row (opened), Richard Chai, Tome, Lacoste, Suno, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Sophie Theallet, J. Mendel, et al. In the process, she has breathed the same air and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Kendell Jenner. Go girl!
