All is not well with Leone Island boss Jose Chameleone as we have been reliably informed that he is in huge debt. Being the cunning star that he is, the singer is looking for all ways possible to make money and make it fast before his lenders get on his neck. He has now turned to Ugandan politicians.
The singer who will be launching Wale Wale Double trouble on 1st May this year, was recently seen kneeling before the president pledging his support. Although Chameleone recently inked a 500 million deal with the ruling party alongside Bebe Cool, it seems he wants more to clear his debts.
Our sources revealed to us that he recently asked for money from a big wig in the party who was recently reduced to nothing because of his presidential ambitions. The big wig told Chameleone that as much as he welcomed his support, he didn’t have money for the Badilisha singer. “My son Chameleone,” he started. “Be patient, I cannot give you money. Just ask your creditors to be patient with you until you get enough funds to pay up your debts,” he added.
The singer is said to have resolved to put his support 100% behind the President. He was seen with him in Kigezi recently where he knelt down to greet the president.
It should be noted that Chameleone has enjoyed a good relationship with the first family. Last year at his One man One million concert, the first lady of Uganda and Hon Minister for Kagamoja affairs, Janet Museveni attended his show. At the show, the singer was pleased to meet the first lady, he introduced his family and later did his best on stage.
