Described as the maid from hell, 22-year-old Jolly Tumuhairwe who was recorded on video torturing a kid she was supposed to take care of, now has the best legal brain in Kampala representing her interests.
Human rights lawyer, Ladislaus Rwakafuzi, has undertaken to defend Jolly after the whole world turned against her following a viral video of her torturing a baby. The lawyer has started by reminding the public that Jolly should be presumed innocent until proven guilty as a fundamental part of her rights.
The lawyer pointed out that he is going to gladly help the maid because the world has turned against her. He pointed out that Jolly needs legal counsel and she should be presumed innocent despite all that was seen on video. “It is sad that the jury is now the whole world, but she deserves justice since everybody seems to think that they have facts,” he said.
He questioned the authenticity of the video pointing out several loopholes that he will use to defend the maid. “There are several questions to ask about that video,” he stated.
