AS Vita and young Cranes striker, Yunus Sentamu was dropped as head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic named his 18-man squad that left for Morocco ahead of the final bend of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers in which the Uganda Cranes take on Guinea.

The young striker featured in Uganda’s remarkable 1-0 win over the Black Stars of Ghana on Saturday at the Mandela National stadium, Namboole even when some rumors indicated that the player was half fit after suffering an ankle injury during earlier training sessions before the clash. Sentamu was seen limping off the pitch on Saturday and being replaced by Gor Mahia’s ‘Muzei’ Daniel Sserunkuma.

The young striker is among the players that were recently nominated for the African footballer of the year 2014 award and was left out of the travelling contingent due to injury which the team doctors thought he wouldn’t recover from in time before the Wednesday game.

On Wednesday 19th November, Uganda takes on Guinea who humiliated Togo at their own home in Lome in a 4-1 thriller on Saturday. It’s going to be “a now or never” match for the Cranes who will be seeking to restore Uganda’s lost glory since 1978 when Cranes last participated in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Meanwhile wounded Ghana will be at home to host the crippled ‘Sparrow Hawks’ of Togo at Tamale.
