ARSENAL will face former Chelsea star Demba Ba’s new club Beskitas for a place in the Champions League group stages after they learned of their fate in the play-off draw.
The Gunners could have faced Athletic Bilbao, Lille, FC Copenhagen or Standard Liege but have a tricky two-legged tie against the Turkish outfit.
The draw which took place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland this morning, saw Celtic paired with Maribor.
The Hoops were reinstated into the competition after Legia Warsaw were penalised for fielding an ineligible player in the third qualifying round.
Celtic were awarded with a win and were amongst the seeded teams in the draw.
The first legs will be played on 19 and 20 August, and the second legs will be played a week later on 26 and 27 August.
