Spice Diana has shared her thoughts on the future of female artists in Uganda, saying she feels sorry for those who are just joining the music industry.
Speaking about the growth and challenges faced by female musicians, Spice Diana noted that established artists still have a bright future, especially those who continue to work hard and make smart career decisions.
She pointed to veterans such as Irene Namatovu and Grace Nakimera, who have returned to the stage and held successful concerts, as examples of artists who are still finding success years into their careers.
“The ones that have been there for some time, you have seen concerts, for example Mama Irene and Grace Nakimera coming back and doing amazing shows. The future is bright for them,” she said.
Spice Diana also said that artists who are already established can continue to enjoy a bright future if they remain committed to their careers.
“Then, for us, the future is still bright if you work hard and smart,” she added.
However, she expressed concern for new female artists entering the industry, saying they are joining at a time when there is a lot happening in Uganda’s music business.
“For the new ones, I feel sorry for them. They are in an industry that has so much going on,” Spice Diana said.
