If you are anything like me, there was once a time for you when succeeding to get a girl’s phone number was such a big deal. Maybe you are still experiencing that phase right now; that’s totally fine. If you continue to practise, eventually you’ll get to a point where getting a number no longer phases you. The scenario I want to address is what you do with that phone number once you’ve got it. More times than I care to remember, I’ve come across guys who brag about how many girls’ numbers they’ve got in their phones. However, while that’s great, what these same guys don’t tell you is how many of those numbers they’ve succeeded to turn into dates. Here are three tips to help you turn those digits into something more than just numbers.
1 – Make sure that the length of your texts match the length of hers. Remember, most people these days have smart phones which make the sizes of texts very noticeable. As such, see to it that you’re not sending paragraphs if she’s only sending you one-liners. You don’t want to come across as too needy writing way too much right off the bat.
2 – Whatever you do, please be sure to not give up all the power by texting her the most common thing that every guy and his dog will send: “It was so great meeting you” or “Wow! It was amazing meeting you”. With this text, you’re giving her way too much value and you’ve tipped the balance of power in her favor. As such, you don’t come off as a challenge, there’s no chase and the game is essentially over for her because she’ll feel like she had you at hello. Yes you want her, but you’ve got to keep her interested and intrigued by you too.
3 – Lastly, Here’s the most important tip of all these: do no text just for the sake of texting. When you text, you should be doing this with a purpose. That purpose should be to get her out to spend time with you in person, as opposed to texting just to keep the conversation going. Too many guys make the deadly mistake of trying to have a full-blown conversation via text. More often than not, you’re going to end up boring her which equates to you becoming less attractive by the second. With every text that you send, keep in the back of your mind that the end goal is to get her out. You should ask yourself if the text you’re sending is going to contribute to the end goal.
