Uganda’s music scene is buzzing and Nita katushabe is at the centre of the conversation. With her single “Mulongo” enjoying strong rotation on Tv and radio, Nita is steadily building a reputation as one of the most compelling voices to watch.
But what’s drawing people in isn’t just the sound but its the storytelling. Nita writes in Luganda, English and Runyankole’ blending soulful melodies with lyrics that feel deeply personal. Her music speaks to love. vulnerability, ambition and the everyday hustle of life. The emotions we all experience but dont always know how to express. Tracks like Ffembi and You still know (I LOVE YOU) introduced listeners to her warm, expressive style.
Her debut EP, Love Hustle, takes that ever further. The project explores the tension between chasing your dream and holding on to love a theme that resonates strongly with a generation balancing passion and responsibility. what sets Nita apart is intention. Every Lyric feels considered, every melody carries emotion. She is not chasing trends she is building connection.
In a fast moving industry, Nita Katushabe is choosing honesty over hype and ironically, that honesty is creating its own wave. If the momentum continues like this. one thing is clear this is only the beginning.
