Cindy Sanyu Claims Credit for Inspiring Uganda’s Female Artists

Ugandan dancehall queen Cindy Sanyu has boldly stated that she is the driving force behind many of today’s female artists in the music industry.

Speaking with confidence, Cindy revealed that she takes pride in watching how upcoming stars are thriving, noting that she can clearly see elements of her influence in their music and style.

“The whole industry is pretty much inspired by me,” Cindy said. “I can see bits and pieces of my inspiration, so I’m happy because I can sit and see these new artists and tell I’m that one’s inspiration.”

Despite her ongoing feud with fellow singer Sheebah Karungi, Cindy didn’t shy away from adding that she believes she has inspired her as well.

Cindy, who has been in the music scene for over a decade, continues to position herself as a trailblazer, emphasizing her role in shaping the future of Uganda’s female music industry.
