Singer Mudra D Viral has revealed the internal struggle he faces as a Muslim pursuing a career in music.

The Muyayu hitmaker, who identifies as a devoted Muslim, admitted that Islam does not approve of him doing music. Despite this, he says he continues with his career while constantly seeking forgiveness through prayer.
“Music is prohibited because it can take you away from the path of righteousness. The Qur’an mentions poets and storytellers, and we also fall in that category,” Mudra explained.
He added that music often carries misleading or imaginary lyrics, which in Islam can be considered a form of lying.
“Artists are a lot like politicians. That’s why even politics is prohibited. We sometimes pass messages of misguidance in our music, and therefore we keep asking for forgiveness,” he noted.
Mudra’s revelations shed light on the delicate balance he tries to maintain between his faith and his passion for music, a journey that many artists from religious backgrounds also grapple with.
