Kampala, Uganda – The gospel fraternity, church community, and wider music industry are gearing up to celebrate a monumental milestone in Uganda’s spiritual and musical journey — 20 years of Pastor Wilson Bugembe in music ministry.
On August 8th, 2025, all roads will lead to Serena Hotel Kampala, where a grand celebration will be held to honour Pastor Bugembe’s incredible two-decade legacy of preaching the gospel through music.
From his humble beginnings to becoming one of the most respected and beloved gospel artists in East Africa, Pastor Bugembe has used his voice not just to entertain but to inspire, heal, and unite. His songs — including Komawo, Njagala Kumanya, Katonda W’abanaku, Ani, and Kani — have become anthems of hope, cutting across religious lines, tribal differences, and social classes.
As a young preacher and artist, Bugembe brought a new sound and spirit to gospel music, making it accessible to both the churched and unchurched. His powerful lyrics and genuine heart for God have touched lives far beyond the pulpit. Many testify that his music has healed the broken, uplifted the poor in spirit, and drawn countless souls closer to God.
Despite his fame, Pastor Bugembe has remained grounded — humble yet ambitious in his mission to spread the word of God. Through trials and triumphs, his focus has never wavered: to use music as a tool for ministry.
The upcoming 20-year celebration has already attracted support from fellow artists, churches, and corporate entities who have walked this journey with him or been inspired by his music. In return, Pastor Bugembe has promised an unforgettable night of praise, reflection, and worship.
“I am grateful for the journey and everyone who has stood with me. Come 8th August, we shall thank God together. Expect my very best on stage,” he shared.
As anticipation builds, the 20th anniversary event is expected to be more than just a concert — it will be a moment of thanksgiving, history, and renewed purpose for a man whose music has defined a generation.
